چکیده
Kakap River Estuary plays an essential role in the life organisms, but it is vulnerable to environmental changes and pollution caused by human activities. This study aims assess presence of plankton species, their abundance diversity as aquatic ecological bio-indicators Estuary. Plankton water samples were taken for three months, with a frequency one sample per month, viz. March, April June 2020 from four sampling stations Estuary, West Kalimantan. A total 34 species observed all sites, identified belong 18 classes. Chlorophyceae had highest relative among phytoplanktons (40.10%), followed Bacillariophyceae (21.86%) Cyanophyceae (19.28%). Oscillatoria sp. Hydrodictyon most dominant phytoplankton species. There 8 classes zooplankton throughout research period. Hexanauplia zooplanktons (36.56%) Euglenophyceae (24.37%). The index (H ′) values ranged between 2.33 -3.11. evenness value 0.79 0.89 which indicates high at samping stations, this supported low dominance ranging 0.06-0.16. Station 1 Shannon-Wienner score, while station 2, 3, 4, scores moderate level. Overall. sites indicated that quality no light level. Keywords:PhytoplanktonZooplanktonWater

Leeches as Sensor-bioindicators of River Contamination by PCBs
The aim of the study was to evaluate the use of leeches of the genus Erpobdella as a means of assessing polychlorinated biphenyl contamination of watercourses. The River Skalice, heavily contaminated with PCBs, was selected as a model. The source of contamination was a road gravel processing factory in Rožmitál pod Třemšínem from which an estimated 1 metric ton of PCBs leaked in 1986. Levels of...
